I had the pleasure of capturing the wedding of two friends I’ve known for some time. This one was special for me because it was not only for two people that I knew, but because of the emotional journey that these two have gone through and endured together to get to get to this point. Past the many boxes of tissues that everyone went through, came the usual laughs and fun that this couple always brings with them. This was no different than any other celebration of love… but it was and I was happy to be there.

We haven’t kept up with the blog, but we are still doing our thing. This past year was the first full year we’ve been working together and it was definitely a fun one. Thanks to all our clients who let us share in these moments and to our family and friends who have supported us. Mostly, thanks to our wives for giving us the time to do this. Hah. Here’s a few of what we covered this past year, and here’s to many more great moments in 2014.

There are three words that can best describe this day: worth the wait. Ray and Riccie certainly showed this commitment leading into this day, as the couple waited 3 (long) months before what was to be their next kiss (and first as husband and wife). And already they had demonstrated a key component to a successful marriage—patience. The day was certainly not lacking of love between the two, but even more so the love that could be felt FOR these two between the family and friends that attended and helped to make this day possible.

LGK Photography was honored to be a part of it all. From the prayers led by the pastor and the groom himself, to the ceremony, to the post ceremony photos, and the reception, the focus was always about honoring their commitment, which made this such a pleasure to capture. So much so, that we couldn’t wait to share some of the memories of this special day with you all… but it was definitely worth it.
