We haven’t kept up with the blog, but we are still doing our thing. This past year was the first full year we’ve been working together and it was definitely a fun one. Thanks to all our clients who let us share in these moments and to our family and friends who have supported us. Mostly, thanks to our wives for giving us the time to do this. Hah. Here’s a few of what we covered this past year, and here’s to many more great moments in 2014.

This last engagement session with Hazel and Chris was super fun and exciting. Although the three of us from LGK grew up in San Diego, none of us had ever came and visited the Cabrillo monument and Point Loma lighthouse. It was like we were tourist in our own city. The beautiful location with it’s breath taking ocean views and iconic landmarks made for a perfect engagement location for our good friends Hazel and Chris. From head to toe, both Chris and Hazel looked absolutely amazing. It was easy taking pictures of these two as they both have a natural knack for expressing their love for one another. It is very obvious that they just love each others presence and they both are able to feed off of the others jokes and laughter. We wish Hazel and Chris nothing but the absolute best and we can’t wait for them to officially tie the knot later this year in Maui.
Several weeks back LGK received an exciting email from one of our good friends, Janissa Mendoza. Janissa explained to us that while Sherwin and her were out in New York City a few weeks prior, that they had gotten engaged. We have known both, Sherwin and Janissa, for quiet some time and so obviously we were extremely excited to hear the news that their awesome relationship was finally going to become official.
As we continued reading the email we got even more excited as she was looking to have some proposal reenactment shots done and was asking if we would be able to assist with such a request. Without hesitation we agreed to help capture the reenactment of a very beautiful moment shared between two of our awesome friends.
The location of the shoot would be the gorgeous Andaz hotel located in Downtown San Diego. In an effort to be as authentic as the actual proposal in NYC Janissa and Sherwin wanted to take some shots in the hotels Star Suite. The NYC hotel room in which Sherwin proposed, was furnished with an awesome bunk bed and so naturally the Star Suite, which is highlighted by a “pimped out” bunk bed, was the perfect choice. For the few hours we shot these two love birds it was very easy to see the love shared between them, so much so that we thought Sherwin just might go ahead a propose for a second time!
