Our recent family trip to Oahu was our best vacation yet. It was a much needed break for the wife and I, and we were also coming off celebrating Emma and LJ’s 3rd and 6th birthdays. We managed to get in some pretty good R&R and quality time in the sun, and of course we got to eat… a lot. Here’s a few of the highlights below from the first 3 days of the trip.
Day 1: Touchdown Oahu | Lunch at Zippy’s & Nico’s Fish Market | Shave Ice at Shimazu Market | Sunset at Hilton Hawaiian Village | Dinner with good friends at Side Street Inn
Day 2: Breakfast at Liliha Bakery | Dole Plantation |Waimea Valley | Roadside stop at unknown beach south of Waimea Beach Park | Haleiwa | Shave Ice at Matsumoto
Day 3: Sunrise at Lanikai | Breakfast at Boots & Kimo’s | Kuoloa Regional Park for a view of China Man’s Hat | Lunch at Waiahole Poi Factory | Shave Ice at Island Snow | Bob’s Pizzeria | Afternoon swim back at Lanikai | Dinner at Ono’s Seafood/Zippy’s | Fireworks Waikiki Beach
